Leak Adjustment Request Form

If you have experienced a plumbing leak during the recent freeze event that resulted in an increased water bill, and you would like to request a bill credit, please complete the Leak Adjustment Request Form below.  The utility district will consider your request and, if approved, a credit may be given for usage as determined by the utility district. Texas Severe Winter Storm Disaster Declaration No. FEMA-4586-DR

Best Trash contracts are for normal amounts of residential waste and recycling collection. Our contracts do not include debris removal as a result of a natural disaster. The Federal Emergency Management Agency has declared the winter storm we just experienced as a disaster. Therefore, the debris generated due to this disaster is not covered under the terms of the contract. This would include debris removal from inside of the house as a result of flooding from broken pipes. Additionally, any frozen landscape removed would also be excluded. Past disasters including hurricanes and floods debris removal have been covered by FEMA. Please check with your homeowners insurance carrier regarding reimbursement for your debris.

There are a few options to dispose of debris:

  1. The Bagster
  2. The Bull Bag
  3. Best Trash does have the ability to provide a special collection service for debris removal. For pricing, please email your address and pictures to customerservice@besttrashtexas.com to get a quote.

Additional Recycling Materials

If you have more recycling than what will fit in your recycling container, Best Trash will collect your additional recycling materials. Please place the additional recycling in a bag, box or container not smaller than 30 gallons clearly labeled “RECYCLE” next to your regular recycling container. Best Trash has provided recycling stickers that may be placed on bags, boxes, and or containers and are available at The Riverstone Club House, 18353 University Blvd., Sugar Land, Texas 77479.

COVID-19 Update

As you may be aware, in an effort to support public health and safety during the COVID-19 pandemic conditions, the Board of Directors for MUD 128 have voted to temporarily suspend late fees, penalties and terminations on its utility accounts. Although normal usage rates for water and sewer service will continue to apply and accrue, water will not be terminated for delinquent accounts at this time.

Unfortunately, due to outstanding financial and contractual obligations, MUD 128 is not in a position to provide free water or wastewater service. The Board will continually review the appropriateness of its efforts to support its residents. Feedback to the Board can be submitted by clicking here.

Coronavirus Update – Please Bag Your Garbage

In response to the continuing effects of the Coronavirus and in observance of our employee’s safety, we are asking that all waste be placed in plastic bags and tied off to avoid any direct contact with the garbage.

Trash collection services will continue as normal, but we are experiencing an increase in the amount of residential solid waste as a result of residents spending more time at home. Please be patient as we are doing our best to get everyone collected.

Green waste collection will continue; however we anticipate delays in service. By taking the following steps, residents can help minimize these delays:

  • Mulch leaves and grass clippings instead of bagging them for disposal.
  • Limit the amount of pruning and tree trimming to only what is essential.
  • If utilizing a landscaping company, ensure all green waste is collected and hauled off by the contractor.

Please continue to place your recycling loose in your container. However, if anyone in your household is exhibiting symptoms of any transmissible illness, please place recyclables in plastic bags and dispose of with your regular garbage.
